Journey to a Mysterious Dreamland

Journey to a Mysterious Dreamland

Diary of a girl with million dreams, became a caring lady officer from a careless girl.

“A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step.”  -Lao Tzu

When my dream flight towards my dream took off few years back, my eldest brother told me that “From today your journey starts, you are the tourist and the preparation phase is the journey, so be a dedicated tourist. Explore the path, you will reach your destination one day”.

At that time I actually did not understand much what he was trying to convey. I was excited to start my journey but was not aware that this journey is what people call “STRUGGLE”. I had not struggled for anything till that day. Being a very happy-go-lucky girl, life meant fun to me and I had no idea where I was heading to.

In the year 2014, I took the first step towards my journey, a journey to an uncharted land which I wanted to explore, I started preparation for Civil Service Examination, one of the most competitive and toughest examination of the country.

But after years of struggle, this year I conquered with the dialogue of Rocky Balboa,

“The world aren’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it isn’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you aren’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that aren’t you. You’re better than that!”

I learnt a lot of lessons during the process of my preparation, some in a very hard way but these are the part of journey. Civil Service Preparation was not just a preparation for merely an exam but it made me a better person and I discovered myself, conquered over my fears and tried to meet what exactly I’m. All in all, was trying to find out my IDENTITY.

So, the journey towards success has begun, but road is still under construction. Though my journey from an aspirant to an officer is fulfilled in some way, but miles to go before the pursuit of identity which is my happiness.

Life itself is moving through a prism of memories leaving only experiences or lessons. But at the end, I do believe that I shall Overcome and that would be my pursuit of happiness.
