“Your positive action combined with positive thinking results in success” –Shiv Khera
The real meaning of success is achieving your goals. It relates to the inner peace that comes after its accomplishment. Success is achieved if you do what you want to do. It does not imply any tough competition with others rather it is more about individual satisfaction.
Clarity in your thoughts and continuous practice can make you successful. There are no magic tricks or any shortcuts for becoming successful. One needs to remember that thinking without action and acting without thinking leads to failure. In this regard, we must remember to take advice from our seniors who have rich knowledge about the subject in which we are facing any issue.
Today, the word Einstein is anonymous with genius, but only a few of us know that young Albert couldn’t speak fluently until he was nine-years-old. Teachers thought he was slow. He was expelled from school for his rebellious nature and was refused admission to the Zurich Polytechnic School.
Even after so many hurdles, his keen interest in science made him develop the theory of General Relativity. He won the Nobel Prize, with his research leading the U.S. to build an atomic bomb.
Learning from past experiences lead to success. Three steps for learning are: Observing successful people and listening to their success stories with a silent mind, understanding their mistakes, and practically applying that understanding in one’s own situations.
Integration of body, soul, and mind can help you become successful. Integration can be achieved through techniques like yoga, meditation, music. Stability of mind while doing boring work will result in achieving stability while doing interesting work.
According to Bill Gates,
“Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose”.
Bill Gates served as an assistant in the United States House of Representatives and began his studies at the esteemed and exclusive Harvard University.
Lacking a firm grasp on college principles and being constantly disillusioned with higher education, he left the university to start working on one of the first PC software, which was coded for the MITS Altair computer system.
While Gates’s story may not be the typical rags-to-riches story, his work ethic and devotion to his goals are legendary in the computing world. His success is a reminder to all people that focus, ambition, and a long-term vision are essential for both cultural and financial success.
Similar to all successful people, we should also not give up even when we fail. We should make efforts to stand after falling and should persistently walk towards our goal. Keep dreaming and believing in yourself that you can achieve them. Find ways to deal with fear. Comfort does not give great results. Accept challenges to achieve more.
Forget bitter past and live in present. Learn from mistakes in the past. Look at the bright side of experiences, not the dark ones. Go easy, don’t be in hurry. Change the plan and not a goal if failure knocks on your door. Knowledge increases your growth. Spend days and nights in gaining more knowledge to be successful.
